Systems Approaches to Biological Research (SABR) Workshop

The BBSRC and EPSRC have launched their Systems Approaches to Biological Research initiative that aims to work in partnership with relevant UK universities and research institutes to establish a range of systems biology research projects. They have provided a budget of £30M for proposals in the range of £2-6M, for up to five years' duration.

To assist those wishing to apply to this call GARNet in collaboration with the CPIB and CSBE, (centres for systems biology set up earlier this year) is holding a one day discussion meeting on Tuesday 26th September at the University of Nottingham, Plant Sciences, Sutton Bonington Campus.

The aim of this meeting is to:-

  1. Focus/ fine tune your application
  2. Set up collaborations with plants scientists or theoreticians that could contribute to your application.
  3. Facilitate links with recently-funded BBSRC Centres in Systems Biology
